REAPER Team was contacted by the owner of a private residence in South Phoenix to conduct an investigation on a house that was recently purchased. The owner reported possible paranormal activity that was occurring in his home such as doors opening and closing on their own, objects being moved, and voices being heard throughout the house. The activity was allegedly so bad, that when workers were hired to renovate the home, they would leave without spending a full day there and often not returning. The home is still not completed and not ready for move in because of this.
This house has a history of death and a suicide that took place within the home. The previous owner had died within the home, and the man that lived there prior to that had taken his own life inside the bathroom of the home.
We arrived at the home and immediately began taking EMF readings to determine if there were any unusually high EMF levels. Normally when taking a reading, the EMF reader reflects zero miligauss unless near an electrical outlet, or possible paranormal activity is occurring. We used two different types of meters when investigating this house, and they both had a reading the fluctuated between 1.5 miligauss and 5 depending on where you were in the house. The meter never touched zero until we left the house completely.
We used multiple tools when trying to seek any paranormal activity. We took photos, video, and used the spirit box with no results. We did get one picture with an orb, but couldnt rule out the possibility of dust in the air. We conducted multiple EVPs sessions in hopes of getting intelligent responses to our questions. We received one clear EVP, but couldnt immediately make out what it said. Upon further review of the recording after we had finished the investigation, we were able to positively identify the one word we recorded. It was male voice that said the word vamanos (you can hear it on the player to the right). We captured this voice just as we started our investigation, and didnt receive any other paranormal activity.
Unfortunately, no one on our team speaks any other language, but upon further research we found that vamanos means lets go in Spanish. We later found out that the man who took his own life in the bathroom years ago only spoke Spanish. Was our presence there enough to make this spirit leave, hence the lets go? That may have been why we received only that as any proof of paranormal activity at this location. Without any substantial evidence being collected (aside from the one word), REAPER Team cannot deem this house to be haunted. Not to deny or lessen other peoples experiences , but only because our investigation was inconclusive and without valid support.
